ORLANDO, Fla. (FNN) – Supervisor Daisy Morales is known for winning countywide elections, but on election night, she turned political juggernut in defeating the establishment candidate, PACs, and 21 major endorsements to win the Democratic primary for Florida House District 48.
Morales swept all election categories: Election Day, Early Voting, and Vote By Mail.
According to the Orange County Supervisor of Elections website, Supervisor Morales, the underdog of the race, ended up winning with 40 percent of the vote. Samuel Vilchez Santiago, the youngest and highly favored candidate in the race with a whopping 21 endorsements behind him and over $52,000 in campaign funding, trailed by 10 percentage points at 30 percent.
